WARRIOR WOMEN’S LACROSSE SUFFERS
FIRST LOSS
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team
opened up their home schedule, Saturday afternoon, hosting
nationally ranked Drew University. The Warriors were overmatched
from the first face-off, ultimately falling 18-2. Lycoming drops
to 2-1 on the season, while the Rangers improve to 4-1.
The Warriors
scored their only two goals in the second half, both off the
stick of senior Lauren Evangelist (Perkiomenville, Pa.;
Boyertown). Fellow senior Laurie Rooney (Audubon, N.J.;
Audubon) went the distance in goal for Lycoming, making 11
saves.
Drew was led
by Kara Fetter with four goals and one assist, and Whitney
McMillan with one goal and four assists. Casey O’Brien was
between the pipes for the Rangers and made four saves in the
game.
The Warriors
will travel to Susquehanna University for their next game on
Tuesday, March 30.
