LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE IMPROVES TO 2-0

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to Cedar Crest College, Thursday afternoon, to play for the first time in nearly three weeks. The Warriors picked up right where they left off, recording a 13-5 victory to open the season at 2-0.

Lauren Evangelist (Sr./Perkiomenville, Pa.; Boyertown) and Kristen Dart (Jr./Saratoga, N.Y.; Saratoga Springs) led Lycoming with four goals each. Dart also added an assist. Cassie Mocyk (Fr./Baldwinsville, N.Y.; Charles W. Baker) and Karissa Brown (Jr./Chemung, N.Y.; Waverly) each added two goals, while Erin Dillon (Fr./Bayside, N.Y.; St. Mary’s) chipped in one score. Erin Robinson (So./West Hartford, Conn.; Kingswood-Oxford) tallied one assist.

Laurie Rooney (Sr./Audubon, N.J.; Audubon) made 13 saves in goal for the Warriors while allowing just five goals.

Lycoming will play again on Saturday, March 27, when they host Drew University for their first Freedom Conference contest of the season. Face-off is at 1 p.m. at the Shangraw Athletic Complex.
