LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE PICKS UP WIN AT GWYNEDD MERCY

GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to Gwynedd Mercy College, Wednesday afternoon, for a non-conference match-up. The Warriors held the Griffins scoreless for the final 21 minutes and scored the last seven goals of the game to claim a 13-7 victory. Lycoming improves to 4-9 overall with the win.

Lauren Evangelist (Sr./Perkiomenville, Pa.; Boyertown) led the Warriors with seven goals. Ashley Rowe (Jr./Fairfax, Va.; W.T. Woodson) added four goals, while Cassie Mocyk (Fr./Baldwinsville, N.Y.; Charles W. Baker) and Kristen Dart (Jr./Saratoga, N.Y.; Saratoga Springs) each scored once.

Laurie Rooney (Sr./Audubon, N.J.; Audubon) made 15 saves and collected nine groundballs in net for Lycoming.

The Warriors are at home on Thursday, April 22, when they host Wilkes University. The first draw is scheduled for 4 p.m.
