LYCOMING WOMEN’S LACROSSE DROPS HEARTBREAKER

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to King’s College, Saturday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic Conference contest. The Warriors overcame a five-goal, second-half deficit to knot the score at 10-10, but the Monarchs scored with less than two minutes to play to claim an 11-10 victory. Lycoming falls to 3-8 and 1-7 with the loss. King’s improves to 7-4 and 3-3.

Lauren Evangelist (Sr./Perkiomen, Pa.; Boyertown) scored six goals for the Warriors, while Kristen Dart (Jr./Saratoga, N.Y.; Saratoga Springs) added four goals. Ashley Rowe (Jr./Fairfax, Va.; W.T. Woodson) recorded one assist.

Laurie Rooney (Sr./Audubon, N.J.; Audubon) made 15 saves and tallied nine groundballs in goal for Lycoming.

The Warriors are right back at it on Sunday, April 18, when they host non-conference opponent Allegheny College at 2 p.m.
