WOMEN’S LACROSSE FALLS TO WIDENER
WEST CHESTER, PA
– The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to
Widener University, Saturday afternoon, for a Middle Atlantic
Conference contest. The Warriors stumbled for the first time in
three outings, falling to the Pioneers, 14-7. Lycoming is now 2-2
overall and 2-1 in the MAC. Widener improves to 6-2 and 3-1.
Lauren
Evangelist (Jr./Perkiomen, PA; Boyertown)
led the Warriors with five goals in the game. Erica Likens
(So./Bel Air, MD; Bel Air) added two goals and Karyn Wright
(Sr./Schenectady, NY; Schenectady) recorded one assist.
Laurie Rooney
(Jr./Audubon, NJ; Audubon)
made 17 saves in goal for Lycoming.
The Warriors
return home for their next contest, hosting Messiah College on
Tuesday, April 1. The game is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.
