WOMEN’S LACROSSE WINS THIRD STRAIGHT
WILLIAMSPORT, PA
– The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to
Wilkes University, Sunday morning, for their third consecutive
Middle Atlantic Conference contest. The Warriors also won for the
third consecutive outing, defeating the Colonels 15-9. Lycoming is
now 5-4 overall and 5-3 within the MAC. Wilkes falls to 0-8 and
0-7.
The Warriors used
a balanced attack as Lauren Evangelist (Jr./Perkiomen, PA;
Boyertown), Ashley Rowe (So./Fairfax, VA; W.T. Woodson),
and Erica Likens (So./Bel Air, MD; Bel Air) each scored
three goals in the game. Likens added three assists, Evangelist
two, and Rowe one. Sarah Gibbons (Sr./East Hampton, CT; East
Hampton), Karyn Wright (Sr./Schenectady, NY; Schenectady),
and Natasha Simchak (Jr./Nesquehoning, PA; Panther Valley)
each added two goals.
Laurie Rooney
(Jr./Audubon, NJ; Audubon)
made nine saves in goal for Lycoming.
The Warriors are
at home for their next game, hosting Susquehanna University at 4
p.m. on Tuesday, April 15.
