WOMEN’S LACROSSE PICKS UP IMPORTANT CONFERENCE VICTORY
WILLIAMSPORT, PA
- The Lycoming College women's lacrosse team hosted Widener
University, Saturday afternoon, in an important conference
contest. The Pioneers scored the first two goals of the game, but
the Warriors scored four unanswered goals of their own and never
trailed again eventually winning 6-5. Lycoming improves to 5-5
overall and 2-2 within the conference with the win. Widener drops
to 5-4 and 2-2.
Sarah Gibbons
(Jr./East Hampton, CT; East Hampton)
led the Warriors with two goals. Beth Weixel (Fr./Mill Hall,
PA; Central Mountain) and Erica Likens (Fr./Bel Air, MD;
Bel Air) each added one goal and one assist. Elena McIntosh
(So./Summit, NJ; Summit) and Ashley Rowe (Fr./Fairfax, VA;
W.T. Woodson) also scored a goal apiece for Lycoming.
Colleen Clarke
(Fr./Folsom, PA; Cardinal O'Hara)
made 10 saves in goal for the Warriors.
Lycoming will be
at home again on Monday, April 8, for their next game versus the
University of Scranton. Game time is 4 p.m.
