WOMEN’S LACROSSE FALLS TO LOCK HAVEN
LOCK HAVEN, PA
– The Lycoming College women’s lacrosse team traveled to
nearby Lock Haven University, Wednesday afternoon, for a
non-conference match-up. The Warriors fell behind 9-2 in the first
half and never recovered falling by a final score of 16-7.
Lycoming drops to 4-2 with the loss.
Ashley Rowe
(Fr./Fairfax, VA; W.T. Woodson)
and Erica Likens (Fr./Bel Air, MD; Bel Air) each scored a
pair of goals to lead the Warriors’ offense. Lauren
Evangelist (So./Perkiomen, PA; Boyertown), Sarah Gibbons
(Jr./East Hampton, CT; East Hampton), and Beth Weixel
(Fr./Mill Hall, PA; Central Mountain) each added a goal as
well. Weixel also tallied an assist.
Colleen Clarke
(Fr./Folsom, PA; Cardinal O’Hara)
made 18 saves in goal for Lycoming.
The Warriors are
at home for their next contest on Saturday, March 23, when they
host conference rival Drew University. The Rangers are currently
ranked 14th in the nation. Game time is at 2 p.m.
