Lady Warriors Control Wilkes for Win
Andrea Cooper Explodes for 24 Points

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—The Lady Warriors (7-13, 2-7) never trailed on their way to a 67-62 victory over the Wilkes Lady Colonels (6-14, 2-7). It was the second straight Freedom Conference win for Lycoming.

Sophomore Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) had her second highest total of the season with 24 points, 11 in the first half. Lycoming led at the break 34-21. Cooper’s seven rebounds were also tops for both teams. From long range, Cooper hit four three-pointers on the night.

Freshman Allison Mock (State College, PA) scored 10 points in just 11 minutes, dropping two three-pointers, while fellow frosh Becky Leid (Denver, PA) grabbed six rebounds to go with her two steals.

With their momentum on an upswing, it seems as if head coach Chris Ditzler’s young squad is coming of age. Lycoming travels to Drew on Saturday for a 1:00 p.m. game. Lycoming then returns to Lamade Gymnasium on February 10 when they host DeSales at 1:00 p.m..
