Topples FDU-Florham
Zerbee Hits
Three Threes, Scores 12
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—The Lady Warriors (6-13) defeated Freedom
Conference foe FDU-Florham (7-11) on Saturday, 63-53. It was
the first conference win for head coach Chris Ditzler’s
team.
Dressed
in pink t-shirts for the pre-game shoot-around, Lycoming
promoted cancer awareness in conjunction with the Women’s
Basketball Coaches’ Association. Free
shirts were thrown to
the crowd and pledges were taken for every home
three-pointer. For the game, the Lady Warriors hit seven
from downtown.
Jessica
Zerbee (Duncansville, PA)
hit all three of her three-pointers in the first period to
help Lycoming to a 34-33 halftime lead. Zerbee finished the
day with 12 points, four rebounds and four assists.
Sophomore Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) scored
seven of her 11 points in the first half, contributing six
rebounds.
Freshman
Becky Leid (Denver, PA) grabbed nine second-half
boards, on her way to a team-high 10 for the
game. FDU-Florham
notched the first two points of the second period, but never
again took the lead, tying Lycoming only once at the 14:41
mark.
Alicia
Engler (Williamsport, PA)
recorded 11 total points, including a pair of three-pointers
for the game. FDU’s Emily Cerankowski had 20 points
on the day, while Maureen Kehoe scored 15.

Warriors host conference foe Wilkes on Wednesday, January 31
at 6:00 p.m. A men’s game will follow the action. |
