Warriors Fall to DeSales
Seven Players
Reach Double-Digits on the Night
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s women’s basketball team (5-13)
lost at DeSales (14-4) on Wednesday night, 90-64. Three Lady
Warriors scored in double digits, while four Lady Bulldogs
reached the mark.
Sophomore Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) scored a
team-high 13 points for Lycoming, hitting three of five
three-pointers. The Lady Warriors’ outside game was on
target as they converted eight of 18 from beyond the arc.
Freshman Allison Mock (State College, PA) was a
perfect three of three from downtown, on her way to 11
points. Junior Michelle Wisla (Schwenksville, PA)
scored 10 and shared a team-high four rebounds with Cooper
and junior Jamie Buriak (Frackville, PA).
DeSales’
LeighAnn Burke recorded four three-pointers, reaching
20 points on the night. Junior Jenna Stampf had a
game-high 10 rebounds off the bench.
The Bulldogs, who shot 47.8 percent from the field, were up
by 10 at halftime and led by as many as 29 points in the
second half. DeSales forced 26 Lycoming turnovers, which
spelled the difference along with and out-rebounding the
Lady Warriors 47-32.
Lycoming
will be back on its home court on Saturday, when both the
men’s and women’s teams face FDU-Florham. Next Wednesday,
January 31, both teams host Wilkes at Lamade Gymnasium. |
