Lady Warriors Outlast PSU-Altoona
Freshman Mock puts up 20

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—The women’s basketball (5-5) team traveled to Penn State-Altoona (2-7) on Sunday, winning 70-67. The Lady Warriors have won three of their last four games, raising their record to .500.

Head coach Christen Ditzler can’t hide her talented first-year players any longer. Allison Mock (State College, PA) became the fourth different freshman in as many games to lead the team in scoring. Mock’s sharpshooting resulted in 20 points on four three-pointers and a perfect eight of eight from the foul line. Four of her foul shots came in the game’s final minute to secure victory for Lycoming. Throw in three assists and two rebounds and you have a thoroughly outstanding game.

Accomplished sophomore Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) recorded 10 points and seven rebounds. Rebecca Leid (Denver, PA) joined Cooper with seven boards to share the team lead.

Ditzler’s team will now break for the holidays, returning to Lamade Gymnasium on January 5-6 for the Lycoming Tournament. The Lady Warriors will take on SUNY-Brockport at 6:00 p.m. on the 5^th, followed by York v. Rowan at 8:00. Saturday’s games will be at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m.
