Scranton Too Much for Lady Warriors
Cooper Scores 11 in Loss

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Lycoming’s women’s basketball team traveled to Scranton on Wednesday night. The Lady Warriors were topped by the Lady Royals 77-48.

The emerging presence of Jessica Nabholz (Cressona, PA) underneath was not enough to stave off Scranton’s sharpshooting team. Nabholz and Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) led Lycoming at halftime with five points and three rebounds each. Unfortunately, Scranton’s Kathleen Daly had 10 points herself at the half and the Lady Royals led 32-17.

Daly cooled down in the second period and finished with a game-high 14 points. Cooper scored six points after the break and finished with five rebounds, 11 points and two assists. Brittany Knopp (Allenwood, PA) netted three baskets in the second half and ended the night with nine points.

The Lady Warriors travel next to FDU-Florham for a 1:00 p.m. game on Saturday, January 13. A men’s game will follow at 3:00.
