Lady Warriors Drop Third Straight
Leid Scores Team-High 17 in Losing Effort

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa—The Lady Warriors (2-4) battled, but couldn’t overcome a strong Drew (5-1) team Saturday at Lamade Gymnasium. However, Lycoming’s young players showed that they are coming of age and gaining valuable experience.

The Lady Rangers, who started four seniors against Lycoming, were led by Melissa Kraft’s 19 points and Courtney Cunningham’s 12 rebounds. While the Lady Warriors, who start four underclassmen, were led by freshman Rebecca Leid’s (Denver, PA) 17 points and Alicia Engler’s (Williamsport, PA) 10 points and three steals.

Head Coach Chris Ditzler exercised her deep bench, playing ten players for double-digit minutes. On the day, ten Lady Warrior underclassmen saw the court. Ditzler’s troops played tough in the first half, keeping within six points at halftime, but the experienced Lady Rangers were too much in the second period.

The Lady Warriors travel to Lebanon Valley on Wednesday, December 6 for a 7:30 game. They will host the Lycoming Tournament at Lamade during the weekend of January 5-6.
