Lady Warriors Basketball Tourney This Weekend
Lycoming Women Host SUNY-Brockport, York and Rowan

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—The Lady Warriors take on SUNY-Brockport at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5 at Lamade Gymnasium. The game tips off Lycoming’s “Hoops for Hounds” Tournament which benefits the Lycoming County SPCA. Following the Lady Warriors contest, York College will face Rowan University at 8:00 p.m.

On Saturday, the Tournament’s championship game will be played at 3:00 p.m., preceded by the consolation game at 1:00.

Head coach Chris Ditzler is excited about her young team. The Lady Warriors (5-5) have won three of their last four games, including victories over Penn College and PSU-Altoona. Four different freshmen have led Lycoming in scoring in the past four games.

Without a traditionally tall inside presence, tough rebounding by Rebecca Leid (Denver, PA), Andrea Cooper (Hollidaysburg, PA) and Alicia Engler (Williamsport, PA) has helped the Lady Warriors control the paint. Sophomore Cooper also leads Lycoming with 14 points per game.
