LADY
WARRIORS KEEP PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE WITH VICTORY OVER WILKES
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
– The Lycoming College women’s basketball team hosted Wilkes
University, Tuesday evening, in a MAC Freedom Conference contest.
The Lady Warriors notched their third consecutive win, topping the
Lady Colonels, 62-34.
Lycoming
used a strong defensive effort during a 15 minute span in the
second half to secure the win. For the game, the Lady Warriors
held Wilkes to just19.6% shooting from the field, including just
15% in the second half.
Thirteen
players found the scorebook for Lycoming, as the Lady Warriors
cleared their bench for the second straight game. Lyndy
LeVan (So./South Williamsport; South Williamsport) led the
effort with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting for the game. She also
added four assists and three steals. Senior Jenalyn
Boos (Roseto; Pius X) added eight points and five rebounds.
Wilkes
was led by Camille Centini with 12 points and Keri Loeffelman with
10 rebounds.
The
win improves Lycoming’s record to 10-10 overall and 5-6 in the
conference. They currently sit in sixth place in the Freedom
conference with four teams qualifying for the playoffs. The Lady
Colonels drop to 3-17 overall and 0-11 in the Freedom.
The
Lady Warriors will take to the road on Saturday, February 10, as
they travel to Delaware Valley College.
