WOMEN’S BASKETBALL MOVES ABOVE .500
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.
– The Lycoming College women’s basketball team pushed their
overall record above .500, Wednesday evening, with an 80-54
victory over Drew University. Thirteen players scored for the Lady
Warriors as they won their fifth game in their last six outings.
Lycoming broke a
2-2 tie at the 17:42 mark of the first half and never trailed the
rest of the game. The Lady Warriors’ defense continued to play
well, forcing 26 turnovers and holding the Rangers to just 27%
shooting, including 20% in the second half.
Senior Jenalynn
Boos (Roseto; Pius X) led Lycoming with 16 points and 11
rebounds in her final game in Lamade Gymnasium. Lyndy LeVan
(So./South Williamsport; South Williamsport) added 12 points
and Emily DiMarco (Fr./Voorhees, NJ; Eastern) chipped in 11
off the bench. Senior point-guard Adrienne Wydra (Ashland;
North Schuylkill) tallied eight assists in her farewell game.
Catherine Seto
led Drew with 16 points.
The victory
improves Lycoming’s record to 12-11 overall and 6-7 in the
Freedom Conference. The Rangers fall to 6-17 and 1-12. The Lady
Warriors will wrap up their season on Saturday when they travel to
FDU-Madison for a 1 p.m. tip-off.
