WARRIOR WOMEN’S BASKETBALL EARNS COME-FROM-BEHIND VICTORY 

ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team returned to the court for the first time in nearly a month, Friday evening, versus Elizabethtown College. The Warriors overcame a 23-point second-half deficit to defeat the Blue Jays, 61-58, and claim their third consecutive win. Lycoming improves to 4-5 overall, while Elizabethtown falls to 4-6.

Trailing by 23 points with 15 minutes remaining in the game, the Warriors mounted their comeback. Over the next 10 minutes, Lycoming outscored the Blue Jays 27-2 to take their first lead of the contest. Elizabethtown was able to pull even one more time, but the Warriors pulled away in the closing seconds for the victory.

Amy Kile (Jr./Muncy, Pa.; Muncy) led the Warriors with 14 points, while Danielle Kern (Jr./Lehman, Pa.; Lake-Lehman) added 11 markers. Stacy Lindeman (Jr./Whitehall, Pa.; Whitehall) came off the bench to contribute nine points.

The Blue Jays had three players in double figures led by Dana Voit with 16 points. Erin Walton added 14 points and Cristin Braun chipped in 11 markers.

Lycoming will play again tomorrow afternoon versus Messiah College.
