LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SUFFERS LOSS AT DELAWARE VALLEY

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team traveled to Delaware Valley College, Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference showdown. The Warriors led by as many as 10 points in the second half but could not hold on, falling to the Aggies 57-62. Lycoming drops to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the conference. Delaware Valley improves to 8-5 and 1-3.

Colleen Wade (Fr./Hatboro, Pa.; Hatboro-Horsham) led the Warriors with 16 points, five rebounds, and four steals. Amy Kile (Jr./Muncy, Pa.; Muncy) added 10 points and four assists. Danielle Kern (Jr./Lehman, Pa.; Lake-Lehman) pulled down a game-high 16 rebounds, while scoring six points.

The Aggies were led by Moira Donohue, who came off the bench to score 19 points. Bridget Golden added 13 points and 12 rebounds. Ashley Ziegler chipped in 11 markers.

Lycoming will travel to Wilkes University for the next contest on Wednesday, January 19. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
