WARRIOR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATED AT KING’S

WILKES BARRE, PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team traveled to King’s College, Wednesday night, for a Freedom Conference match-up.  The Warriors started slowly and were unable to recover, dropping the contest, 70-36.  With the win, King’s, ranked 11th in the nation, improves to 13-2 on the season, 4-1 in the conference.  Lycoming drops to 7-8, 2-3.

The outcome was never in doubt.  King’s suffocating perimeter defense controlled the tempo, and Lycoming could never get in sync.  The Monarchs were on cruise control by halftime, leading 45-13.

Lyndy LeVan (Sr./South Williamsport, PA/South Williamsport) led the Warriors with eight points.  Katy Kresge (Jr./Lehighton, PA/Marian Catholic) came off the bench to contribute seven points and a team-high nine rebounds.  Amy Herschman (So./Northhampton, PA/Northampton) had seven points and four boards.

Lycoming’s next game will be Saturday January 25, when they host DeSales University. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
