LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TRIPPED UP BY KING’S

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team hosted King’s College, Saturday evening, in a Freedom Conference match-up. The Warriors fell behind early and were unable to mount a comeback versus the Monarchs, ranked 11^th in the nation, eventually falling 76-49. Lycoming falls to 10-12 overall and 5-7 in the conference with the setback. King’s improves to 19-3 and 10-2.

The Monarchs used stifling defense early to pull out to a 23-4 lead seven minutes into the contest. The Warriors found their offensive stride but could not close the gap on the Monarchs.

Lyndy LeVan (Sr./South Williamsport, PA; South Williamsport) led Lycoming with 10 points, playing in her final game in Lamade Gymnasium. Katy Kresge (Jr./Lehighton, PA; Marian Catholic) added seven markers off the bench.

Jen Wozniak led King’s with 15 points and 11 rebounds. Kristin Yeasted added 12 points and a game-high 12 rebounds.

The Warriors will travel to the University of Scranton, on Tuesday, February 18, for their next contest. Tip-off is at 6 p.m.
