LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFEATS WESLEY

BETHLEHEM, PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team defeated Wesley (Del.) College, Saturday afternoon, in the consolation game of the 2^nd Annual The Rock Invitational. The Warriors’ defense limited Wesley to just 22.6% shooting from the field en route to a 59-38 victory. Lycoming improves to 6-6 while Wesley slips to 3-6.

The Warriors jumped out to a 30-23 halftime lead and then cruised to victory outscoring Wesley 29-15 in the second half.

Sabrina Catrambone (Fr./Birchvillerun, PA; Springfield) was Lycoming’s leading scorer with 16 points in the contest. Amanda Walker (Fr./Lock Haven, PA; Central Mountain) added 12 markers while leading the squad with nine rebounds. Mindy Culp (So./New Columbia, PA; Milton) also reached double figures with 10 points. Michelle Stine (So./Mill Hall, PA; Central Mountain) led the Warriors with 11 assists in the contest.

Lycoming returns to conference play for their next game, hosting Drew University on Wednesday, January 15. Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
