LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFEATED BY DREW

MADISON, N.J. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team traveled to Drew University, Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference contest. The Warriors’ offensive struggles continued as Lycoming shot just 28% from the field en route to a 48-66 loss. The Warriors fall to 1-5 overall and 0-2 within the conference. The Rangers improve to 4-1 and 1-1.

Amy Kile (Jr./Muncy, Pa.; Muncy) led Lycoming in scoring with nine points in the game. LaTasha Frye (Fr./Harrisburg, Pa.; Harrisburg) and Colleen Wade (Fr./Hatboro, Pa.; Hatboro-Horsham) each added eight markers. Frye also pulled down seven rebounds. Mindy Culp (Sr./New Columbia, Pa.; Milton) contributed seven points, five boards, and three steals.

Drew was led by Jennifer Weldon with a game-high 15 points. Melissa Kraft added 12 points, and Melissa Coover chipped in 10 markers. Lauren Dubek grabbed a game-high 10 rebounds, while scoring seven points.

The Warriors will return home for their next game on Wednesday, December 8, when they host Juniata College. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
