WARRIOR WOMEN’S BASKETBALL OUTSCORES MARY WASHINGTON

ANNVILLE, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team defeated Mary Washington College, 59-55, in the consolation game of the Rinso Marquette Tournament hosted by Lebanon Valley College, Saturday afternoon. The Warriors carried a seven-point lead into halftime and hung on in the second half for a four-point victory. The win improves Lycoming’s season record to 5-4. The Eagles fall to 2-7 overall.

Senior Emily DiMarco (Voorhees, N.J.; Eastern) had a huge game for the Warriors with a game-high 22 points, including six three-pointers. Mindy Culp (Jr./New Columbia, Pa.; Milton) and Stacy Lindeman (So./Whitehall, Pa.; Whitehall) each added 11 points. Culp also led the team with six assists and four steals.

Lindsey Forbush led Mary Washington with 19 points and 10 rebounds in the contest.

Lycoming travels to Juniata College on Wednesday, January 7, for their next game.
