LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SUFFERS LOSS AT MANSFIELD

MANSFIELD, Pa. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team traveled to Mansfield University, Sunday afternoon, for a non-conference tilt versus the Division II Mountaineers. The Warriors hung with Mansfield for most of the first half, but a 19-1 run by the home team led to a 49-69 loss for Lycoming. The Warriors are now 1-3 on the season, while the Mountaineers improve to 3-1.

Amy Kile (Jr./Muncy, Pa.; Muncy) led Lycoming with a game-high 20 points, including four three-pointers. She also pulled down eight rebounds. Mindy Culp (Sr./New Columbia, Pa.; Milton) and Amy Herschman (Sr./Northampton, Pa.; Northampton) each added six points. Danielle Kern (Jr./Lehman, Pa.; Lake-Lehman) led the squad with nine rebounds.

Mansfield had four players in double-digit scoring. Laura Scordino, Alison Tagliaferri, and Alicia Espigh each tallied 15 markers, while Stephanie Rieser contributed 14 points and nine rebounds.

The Warriors return home to open up their Freedom Conference schedule on Wednesday, December 1, when they host the University of Scranton. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
