LYCOMING'S DIMARCO NAMED TO
ACADEMIC ALL-DISTRICT II TEAM
WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Lycoming College senior Emily DiMarco
(Voorhees, N.J.; Eastern) has been named to the 2004
Academic All-District II Women’s Basketball third-team as
selected by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information
Directors of America).
DiMarco, a point guard,
started all 25 games for the Warriors in 2004. She was
second on the team in scoring, averaging 9.6 points per
game. She also tallied 88 rebounds, 51 assists, and 45
steals during the season. DiMarco ended her career with 102
three-point field goals to rank second all-time in Lycoming
history.
Off the field, DiMarco has
excelled as well. A psychology major, DiMarco has been
selected to the Middle Atlantic Conference All-Academic team
three times. She is a member of Psi Chi, a psychology honor
society; Kappa Delta Pi, an education honor society; and Phi
Kappa Phi, a national collegiate honor society. In addition,
she is a member of IRUSKA Honor Society for outstanding
contributions to campus life, and volunteers as a tutor at
St. Boniface and Cochran elementary schools.
The
Academic All-District II College Division Women’s Basketball
team features student-athletes from NCAA non-Division I
colleges and universities in Delaware, the District of
Columbia, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West
Virginia.
