Women's Basketball

LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DEFEATS FDU-FLORHAM

MADISON, N.J. – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team traveled to FDU-Florham, Saturday afternoon, for a Freedom Conference contest. The Warriors overcame a four-point halftime deficit to extend their winning streak to four games. Lycoming outscored the Devils by 10 points in the second half to come back for a 74-68 victory. Lycoming improves to 10-5 overall and 3-2 within the conference. FDU falls to 4-11 and 1-4.

Mindy Culp (Jr./New Columbia, Pa.; Milton) and Emily DiMarco (Sr./Voorhees, N.J.; Eastern) each scored 13 points to lead the Warriors. Danielle Kern (So./Lehman, Pa.; Lake-Lehman) added 12 markers and a game-high 11 rebounds. She also recorded four steals. Katy Kresge (Sr./Lehighton, Pa.; Marian Catholic) chipped in 10 points and seven rebounds.

Lycoming will return home for their next contest on Monday, January 26, when they host rival Susquehanna University at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
