LYCOMING
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL SUFFERS SETBACK AT DREW
MADISON, NJ –
The Lycoming College women’s basketball team traveled to Drew
University, Wednesday evening, for a conference contest. The
Warriors came back from an 11-point deficit to take a one-point
lead with eight minutes to play, but could not hold on as the
Rangers went on to win 58-51. The loss drops Lycoming’s record
to 4-8 overall and 1-2 within the Freedom Conference. Drew
improves to 5-6 overall and 1-2 in the conference.
The Warriors shot
just 25% from the field in the first half as they fell behind
23-18 at the intermission. The Rangers extended their advantage to
11 early in the second period only to have Lycoming come back and
take the lead with eight minutes to play. Lycoming could not hold
on, however. Drew went on a 6-0 run to regain a lead they would
never relinquish.
