LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL DROPS NON-CONFERENCE TILT

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team hosted regional rival Susquehanna University, Monday evening, in a non-conference contest. The Warriors could not overcome a three-point halftime deficit eventually falling to the Crusaders, 52-48. Lycoming’s record fell to 8-12 with the loss, while Susquehanna improved to 8-12.

Emily DiMarco (So./Voorhees, NJ; Eastern) led the Warriors in scoring with 10 points. Lyndy LeVan (Jr./South Williamsport, PA; South Williamsport) added nine points, while leading the squad with 10 rebounds. Tara Stepanchick (Sr./Lavelle, PA; North Schuylkill) led the team with four assists. She also grabbed five rebounds.

Lycoming took 26 more shots than the Crusaders, but were successful with only 27%. Susquehanna also capitalized on 34 free throw attempts, making 19 to the Warriors 7-of-14.

Lycoming will be at home again on Wednesday when they host Drew University in the first game of a Freedom Conference doubleheader. Tip-off is at 6 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
