LEVAN NAMED FIRST-TEAM CONFERENCE ALL-STAR

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – The Middle Atlantic Freedom Conference recently announced the all-star teams for the 2001-2002 season. Lycoming College junior Lyndy LeVan (South Williamsport, PA; South Williamsport) was named a first-team all-star for the third consecutive year.

LeVan added to her stellar career with a solid junior campaign this past season. She led the Warriors in both scoring and rebounding with 16.0 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. She also ranked 2^nd in the conference in both categories, as well as 9^th in the Freedom in field-goal percentage.

The highlight of her season came on December 5, when she scored 25 points against Wilkes University to surpass the 1,000-point mark for her career. LeVan became the fastest player to reach the milestone in the history of Lycoming’s women’s basketball program.

For her career, LeVan has scored 1,247 points – 4^th on the Warriors’ all-time list, and pulled down 566 rebounds – 5^th all-time. Next season she will need just 244 points to become the program’s all-time leading scorer.
