WOMEN’S BASKETBALL BOWS TO KING’S
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team hosted
King’s College, Wednesday evening, in a Freedom Conference
contest. The Warriors quickly learned why the Lady Monarchs are
ranked fourth in the nation, as King’s cruised to a comfortable
66-47 victory. The loss drops Lycoming’s record to 5-9 overall
and 2-3 within the conference. King’s remains perfect at 14-0
overall and 5-0 in the Freedom.
The
Monarchs started out strong building a 10-point lead midway
through the opening period, but a nine-point run by the Warriors
got them right back in the game. King’s, however, reestablished
a nine-point advantage by the intermission. The second half was
more of the same as the Monarchs connected in 54% of their shots
to put Lycoming away.

Lesko (Sr./Mountain Top, PA; Crestwood)
was the Warriors’ leading scorer with 13 points. Lyndy LeVan
