WARRIOR WOMEN
PICK UP CONFERENCE WIN IN BASKETBALL
WILLIAMSPORT, PA
– The Lycoming College women’s basketball team snapped a
five-game losing skid with an 84-75 victory over FDU-Madison,
Sunday afternoon. The Warriors pulled out to a 10-point lead by
halftime and held on for the conference win. Lycoming is now 5-8
overall and 2-2 within the MAC Freedom Conference. The Devils fall
to 6-7 overall and 0-4 in conference contests.
The Warriors
jumped out to an early lead, opening the game with an 11-2 run.
The home team led by as many as 14 in the first half, before FDU-Madison
made a late push to reduce their deficit to 10 at the half. The
Devils comeback continued in the early part of the second half as
they chipped away at Lycoming’s advantage. With just over nine
minutes to play the Devils pulled within two, but the Warriors
responded by going on a 17-2 over a six-minute span to put the
game out of reach.

and Lyndy LeVan (Jr./South Williamsport, PA; South
Williamsport) each scored 24 points to lead the team. LeVan
also led the squad with 11 rebounds. Mindy Culp (Fr./New
Columbia, PA; Milton) added 13 points and four assists in the
game. Katie Santo (Sr./Scotch Plains, NJ; Union Catholic)
also reached double-figures with 10 points.
Lycoming
is back in action at home on Wednesday evening when they host
King’s College in a doubleheader with the men’s teams. The
Monarch’s are currently ranked fourth in the nation in Division
III. Tip-off for the game is at 6 p.m.
