LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS TO TEXAS LUTHERAN ON NEW YEAR’S EVE

SEGUIN, Texas – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team dropped the first game of a holiday road trip, Monday afternoon, at Texas Lutheran University. The Warriors trailed by eight at the half as the Bulldogs went on to claim the 61-48 victory. The loss dropped Lycoming’s record to 4-6 overall. Texas Lutheran improved to 3-7 on the season.

Emily DiMarco (So./Voorhees, NJ; Eastern) led the Warriors with 17 points in the contest. She also pulled down seven rebounds. Laurie Scherer (Sr./Mahanoy City, PA; Mahanoy City) was the team’s top rebounder with eight boards, while scoring four points and recording three assists. Amy Lesko (Sr./Mountain Top, PA; Crestwood) added eight points and four rebounds.

Lycoming will complete their holiday trip on Wednesday when they will challenge Trinity University.
