LYNDY LEVAN NAMED FREEDOM CONFERENCE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WILLIAMSPORT, PA – Lycoming College junior Lyndy LeVan (South Williamsport, PA; South Williamsport) has been named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week for women’s basketball.

LeVan led the Warriors to a pair of victories last week as Lycoming improved to 3-1 on the year. Playing at forward, LeVan put up 23 points while grabbing 13 rebounds in an 81-72 victory over College Misericordia on Tuesday, Nov. 20. She then scored 25 points and recorded 14 rebounds on Sunday versus Wesley College in Delaware. She also tallied two assists and two steals during the week. Through four games this season, LeVan is averaging 21 points and 11.8 rebounds per contest.

LeVan needs just 54 points to reach the 1,000-point milestone for her career at Lycoming. The Warriors will be on the road for their next contest, traveling to Juniata College, Wednesday evening. The team is then at home for their next two games, hosting Fredonia, Saturday, Dec. 1, at 6 p.m.; and Wilkes University on Wednesday, Dec. 5, also at 6 p.m.
