WARRIOR WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TOPS MISERICORDIA

DALLAS, PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team improved to 2-1 with an 81-72 victory over Misericordia, Tuesday evening. The Warriors carries a 45-31 lead into halftime and hung on for the nine-point win. The Cougars fall to 0-3 with the loss.

Lyndy LeVan (So./South Williamsport, PA; South Williamsport) led Lycoming with 23 points and 13 rebounds in the game. Amy Lesko (Sr./Mountain Top, PA; Crestwood) added 19 points and Emily DiMarco (So./Voorhees, NJ; Eastern) chipped in 16.

“I’m pleased with how we played tonight,” said Lycoming Head Coach Christen Ditzler. “It was good to have three players score in double digits and put up as many points as we did. We need to work on our defense a little, but overall I’m happy with where we are at right now.”

The Warriors are back in action on Sunday, November 20 when they travel to Wesley College in Dover, Delaware.
