LYCOMING WOMEN’S BASKETBALL COMES UP SHORT AT FRANKLIN & MARSHALL

LANCASTER, PA – The Lycoming College women’s basketball team challenged host Franklin & Marshall in the championship game of the F&M Tip-Off Tournament Sunday afternoon. The Warriors took the Diplomats to the wire but ran out of time as Franklin & Marshall escaped with a 72-69 victory.

Lycoming trailed by two points with possession of the ball and 20 seconds remaining in the game, but a missed field goal attempt followed by a free throw by the Diplomats sealed the Warriors’ fate.

Lyndy LeVan (Jr./South Williamsport, PA; South Williamsport) led all scorers with 22 points in the game. She also led Lycoming with 11 rebounds. LeVan was named to the All-Tournament team for her performance over the weekend.

Emily DiMarco (So./Voorhees, NJ; Eastern) added 13 points while Mindy Culp (Fr./New Columbia, PA; Milton) and Amy Lesko (Sr./Mountain Top, PA; Crestwood) each tallied eight markers.

The Warriors are now 1-1 on the year and will travel to College Misericordia on Tuesday, November 20 for their next game.
