Lady Warriors Lose to Elizabethtown, York             Lycoming Women Drop Six of Seven Games

YORK, Pa.- Winning only one of seven games, the Lady Warriors lost their matches to both Elizabethtown and York on Saturday.

Elizabethtown proved to be a tough contest for Lycoming, with the Blue Jays sweeping in straight matches (30-19, 30-26, 30-18). Freshman Hannah Stump (Mechanicsburg, Pa.) sophomore Lisa Frantz (Ping Grove, Pa.), and senior Lindsey Artz (Hengis, Pa.) each recorded six kills, but it was not enough. Freshman Abby Myers (Shippensburg, Pa.) notched 12 assists in the contest.

Lycoming went down swinging in their match-up with York. After dropping their first set  30-21, the Lady Warriors played the Lady Spartans neck-and-neck, but lost game two   33-31. Lycoming dominated York in the third game, winning 29-16. However, that momentum could not be carried over into the final game which Lyco lost 30-24.  Stump and Artz combined for 22 kills in the contest, while senior Cassie Kapson (Towanda, Pa.) added eight of her own. 

Lycoming (10-6) will look to get back on track Wednesday, October 4 when they travel to FDU-Florham for a Freedom Conference match-up.
