Lady Warriors Go 5-1
in Freedom Conference
WILLIAMSPORT,
Pa.—The Lady Warriors (16-11) battled a spirited Delaware Valley
(11-11) team on Tuesday, emerging with a 3-0 victory. The match
was the last conference
contest for Lycoming, who finishes
second in the Freedom.
Coach Tim
McMahon’s team looked flat in the opening game, falling
behind 22-8. But after a timeout pep talk, the Lady Warriors
rallied to win the game 30-27. With that momentum, Lycoming
finished off the Lady Aggies 30-19 and 30-26.
Senior
Cassie Kapson (Towanda, PA) led the team with 15 kills for
the match. She also recorded an excellent .429 kill percentage
on her attacks. Danielle Busch (Claymont, DE) set the
table with a team high 19 sets, while freshman Alyssa Taylor
(Camp Hill, PA) pinpointed three aces on the evening.
Lycoming
travels to Eastern University for a two day tournament, October 27-28. They will play Marymount
and
Elizabethtown on Friday; Eastern and Franklin & Marshall on
Saturday. The games will be a quality warm-up to the all important MAC semi-final game
at Lamade Gymnasium on Wednesday, November 1 at 7:00 p.m.
