Lady
Warriors Host Tri-Match and Penn College
WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.- Lycoming’s
women’s volleyball team split their contests during a tri-match
on October 14. the Lady Warriors lost to Lebanon Valley in four
games, but upended the University of Pitt-Johnstown in straight
games.
Lycoming’s
offensive attack was led by senior middle hitters Lindsey
Artz (Hegins, PA) and Cassie Kapson (Towanda, PA).
Each contributed 12 kills in the opening match, with Artz
notching 16 kills in the second. Freshman outside hitter
Hannah Stump (Mechanicsburg, PA) compiled 22 kills on the
day. Junior setter Danielle Busch (Claymont, DE) fed her
teammates with 45 assists over both matches.
Lycoming
then hosted crosstown rival Pennsylvania College of Technology
on Monday. The Lady Warriors beat the Wildcats in three games,
30-17, 30-14, and 30-26.
Once again,
Lindsey Artz led the Lady Warriors with 13 kills, while
freshman setter Abby Myers (Shippensburg, PA) dished out
31 assists. Cassie Kapson added another 10 kills for the
match. Sophomore outside hitter Heather Frantz (Pine Grove,
PA) led the defense with 14 digs.
The team’s
next match will be at King’s College on Wednesday, October 18.
They will take on the Lady Monarchs at 7:00 p.m. |
