Three Game
Sweep for the Lady Warriors
Lycoming beats FDU-Florham
to go 10-4
MADISON,
NJ – The Lycoming Women’s Volleyball team (10–4) traveled to
Ferguson Rec Center for a Freedom Conference showdown on
Wednesday. Lady Warrior seniors Lindsey Artz (Hegins, Pa)
and Cassie Kapson (Towanda, Pa) had dominating games,
while the remarkable effort of FDU’s Megan Redd just
wasn’t enough.
Lycoming’s
Hannah Stump (Mechanicsburg, Pa) contributed an
impressive 18 kills on the evening. Stump, a freshman, is having
a standout year among a cast of solid volleyball players. While
Artz, Kapson, and Stump were generating kills, the Devils’
Ashley Flora and Holly Farricy each added over 20
digs. However, FDU just couldn’t match the Warriors’ powerful
front line.
Junior
Danielle Busch (Claymont, DE) did her part for Lycoming
contributing 22 assists. While on the other side of the net, the
Devils’ Megan Redd posted 43 assists.
FDU-Florham
kept each game close, with the largest score deficit of the
night being four points, but the leadership and talent of the
Lady Warriors emerged victorious.
Lycoming
travels to Scranton for a quad-match on Saturday, October 7. The
Lady Warriors then host Scranton on Tuesday at 7:00. The Royals
currently have an 18-5 overall record and remain undefeated in
the Freedom Conference. The Lady Warriors have also maintained a
