Three Lady Warriors Named All-Conference           Freshman Stump Joins Seniors Artz and Kapson

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa.—Three Lady Warriors were named to the 2006 All-Freedom Conference volleyball team. Senior middle hitter Lindsey Artz (Hegins, PA) and freshman outside hitter Hannah Stump (Mechanicsburg, PA) were voted first team All-Conference, while senior middle hitter Cassandra Kapson (Towanda, PA) was named to the second team.

Artz and Kapson are the only seniors on Head Coach Tim McMahon’s squad. They placed one and two in almost every offensive category this season. Artz finished with 415 kills, 49 aces, 259 digs and 171 total blocks. Kapson had 305 kills, 50 aces, 221 digs and 124 total blocks. For her career, Artz established all-time Lycoming College records with 1,868 kills and 395 blocks solo.

Stump put in a strong bid for Freedom Conference Rookie of the Year. Her numbers include 247 kills and 18 aces. With Artz and Kapson graduating, McMahon looks for Stump to lead the Lady Warriors in 2007.
