WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL SUFFERS CONFERENCE LOSS AT SCRANTON

SCRANTON, PA – The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to the University of Scranton, Wednesday night, for a Freedom Conference match. The Warriors won the first game, but dropped the next three – losing by just two points in games three and four. The Royals claimed the 3-1 victory by scores of 19-30, 30-23, 31-29, 33-31. Lycoming is now 11-5 overall and 2-2 within the conference. Scranton improves to 11-10 and 2-1.

Layne Haverstock (Jr./Hesston, PA; Huntingdon) led the Warriors with 26 kills, 12 digs and 10 blocks in the match. Melanie McCoy (Jr./Bloomington, OH; Miami Trace) added nine kills. Seneca Reilly (So./Athens, PA; Athens) led Lycoming with 47 assists in the contest.

The Warriors are in action again on Friday and Saturday, October 11-12, when they travel to Rutgers-Newark for a tournament.
