LYCOMING VOLLEYBALL
FALLS TO KING’S IN FOUR
WILLIAMSPORT,
PA – The Lycoming College volleyball team hosted King’s College,
Wednesday evening, in an MAC Freedom Conference contest. The
Warriors battled the undefeated Monarchs through four games,
falling 20-30, 30-24, 24-30, and 26-30. Lycoming drops to 5-4 with
the loss. King’s improves to 19-0.
Layne
Haverstock (Jr./Hesston, PA; Huntingdon)
led the Warriors with 19 kills in the match. She also tallied 14
digs and four blocks. Kelli Watson (So./East Freedom, PA;
Central) added 11 kills and seven digs. Jana Reitz
(Fr./Waynesboro, PA;
Waynesboro)
led the team with 16 digs while picking up six kills and a block.
Seneca Reilly (So./Athens, PA;
Athens)
recorded 46 assists in the match and Valerie Troutman (Sr./Klingerstown,
PA; Tri-Valley) notched three service aces.
The Warriors
will be in action at home again this Friday and Saturday when they
host the 9th annual Lyco Classic Volleyball Tournament.
The event, featuring 10 teams, begins at 1 p.m. on Friday and 9
a.m. on Saturday.
