LYCOMING’S WATSON NAMED PLAYER OF THE WEEK

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – Lycoming College senior Kelli Watson (East Freedom, Pa.; Central) has been named the Freedom Conference Player of the Week for women’s volleyball.

Watson led the Warriors to a 4-1 record last week, including an important conference victory over King’s College. Watson averaged 3.91 kills, 2.27 digs, and 1.23 blocks per game while compiling a hitting percentage of .255. She also was clutch in close matches, scoring the match-winning kill in a pair of five-game contests during the Warrior Classic volleyball tournament. Watson capped the week by becoming the sixth player in Lycoming College history to record 1,000 career kills.

As a team, the Warriors are 8-7 on the season and 2-0 within the conference.
