WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL OPENS SEASON WITH SWEEP

WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. – The Lycoming College volleyball team hosted Baptist Bible College, Wednesday afternoon, for both teams’ season opener. The Warriors swept the Defenders in three straight games by scores of 30-28, 30-25, and 30-25, to start the year at 1-0.

Senior Kelli Watson (East Freedom, Pa.; Central) and sophomore Lindsey Artz (Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) led Lycoming with 11 kills each. Artz also recorded a team-high five blocks. Seneca Reilly (Sr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) tallied a match-high 26 assists. Watson and Casey Renninger (Jr./Pottsville, Pa.; Blue Mountain) each posted 10 digs in the match to lead the Warriors defensively.

Lycoming will be on the road for their next match, traveling to Mount Aloysius College on Tuesday, September 7, for a match beginning at 7 p.m.
