LYCOMING VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO CLARION

CLARION, Pa. – The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to Clarion University, Friday afternoon, for the first day of a weekend tournament featuring eight teams. The Warriors faced off against the host Golden Eagles in their first match, falling in three games by scores of 13-30, 17-30, and 20-30. Lycoming drops to 9-8 with the loss.

Jana Reitz (Sr./Waynesboro, Pa.; Waynesboro) led the Warriors with eight kills and 11 digs in the match. Kelli Watson (Sr./East Freedom, Pa.; Central) and Lindsey Artz (So./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) each added six kills. Artz also had seven blocks. Seneca Reilly (Sr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) recorded 22 assists.

Lycoming is scheduled to play Geneva College and West Liberty State College in pool play before the eight teams are re-seeded for championship play.
