WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL SPLITS MATCHES AT SUSQUEHANNA

SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to Susquehanna University, Saturday afternoon, for a tri-meet with the Crusaders and Marywood University. The Warriors split their two matches, falling to the host team in four games (30-27, 22-30, 10-30, 22-30), but defeating Marywood in three games (30-28, 30-17, 30-21). Lycoming is now 4-6 overall this season.

Kelli Watson (Sr./East Freedom, Pa.; Central) led the Warriors with 12 kills versus Susquehanna. Lindsey Artz (So./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) added 10 kills to go along with a team-high seven blocks. Seneca Reilly (Sr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) recorded 28 assists and Jana Reitz (Sr./Waynesboro, Pa.; Waynesboro) led the squad with seven digs.

Against Marywood, Artz tallied a team-high 14 kills and four blocks. Reilly posted 30 assists and Reitz had nine digs – as did Danielle Busch (Fr./Claymont, Del.; Wilmington Charter). Reitz and Artz also recorded six service aces each.

Lycoming will return to conference competition on Wednesday, September 22, as they travel to King’s College for a Freedom Conference match.
