LYCOMING VOLLEYBALL DROPS TWO MATCHES AT GETTYSBURG

GETTYSBURG, PA – The Lycoming College volleyball team dropped a pair of matches during the second day of action at the Gettysburg Invitational. After going 2-0 on Friday, the Warriors suffered losses to host Gettysburg (32-30, 30-25, 30-26) and Scranton (26-30, 13-30, 30-27, 30-25, 15-13) on Saturday to finish the weekend at 2-2.

Against Gettysburg, Layne Haverstock (Sr./Hesston, Pa.; Huntingdon) led the team with 18 kills and five blocks. Kelli Watson (Jr./East Freedom, Pa.; Central) added nine kills and 11 digs. Seneca Reilly (Jr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) tallied 34 assists and Jana Reitz (Jr./Waynesboro, Pa.; Waynesboro) recorded a team-high 12 digs.

Versus Scranton, Haverstock again led the team in kills with 19. She also added eight blocks. Watson chipped in 15 kills. Reilly tallied 45 assists and Reitz recorded 19 digs.

Lycoming opens their home schedule on Wednesday, September 10, when they host Mount Aloysius College at 7 p.m. in Lamade Gymnasium.
