VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS NEUMANN AND SUSQUEHANNA
WILLIAMSPORT, PA
– The Lycoming College volleyball team picked up two victories,
Saturday afternoon, during the second day of the 10th
Annual Warrior Classic. The Warriors defeated Neumann College in
three games by scores of 30-23, 30-15, and 30-27. They then topped
Susquehanna University in four games by scores of 30-22, 25-30,
30-26, and 30-28. Lycoming is now 12-3 overall this season.
Layne
Haverstock (Sr./Hesston, Pa.; Huntingdon)
led the Warriors against Neumann with 17 kills and three blocks. Lindsey
Artz (Fr./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) added 13 kills and three
blocks. Lauren Shoemaker (So./Wantagh, N.Y.; Wantagh)
tallied a team-high 10 digs, and Seneca Reilly (Jr./Athens,
Pa.; Athens) recorded 21 assists.
Versus
Susquehanna, Haverstock again led the squad in kills and blocks
with 22 and three, respectively. She also had a team-high 21 digs.
Kelli Watson (Jr./East Freedom, Pa.; Central) added 19
kills. Reilly tallied 56 assists and Melanie McCoy
(Sr./Bloomingburg, Ohio; Miami Trace) chipped in 20 digs.
Lycoming travels
to DeSales University for their next match on Tuesday, September
30.
