WARRIOR VOLLEYBALL DEFEATS SCRANTON
Wins Regular Season Conference Title

SCRANTON, PA – The Lycoming College volleyball team traveled to the University of Scranton, Wednesday evening, for their final regular season conference match of the season. The Warriors defeated the Royals in four games by scores of 30-27, 27-30, 30-19, and 30-24. The victory improves Lycoming’s record to 22-6 overall and 6-0 within the Freedom Conference. The regular season conference title secures home-court advantage for the Warriors throughout the conference tournament. Scranton falls to 14-11 and 3-2 with the loss.

Layne Haverstock (Sr./Hesston, Pa.; Huntingdon) led Lycoming with 30 kills and 23 digs in the match. Kelli Watson (Jr./East Freedom, Pa.; Central) added 18 kills and 10 digs. Lindsay Artz (Fr./Hegins, Pa.; Tri-Valley) recorded a team-high four blocks. Seneca Reilly (Jr./Athens, Pa.; Athens) tallied 51 assists in the match.

The Warriors will wrap up their regular season schedule by competing in a tournament at Carnegie Mellon University on Friday, October 31 and Saturday, November 1. The Freedom Conference playoffs will begin on Wednesday, November 5.
